Different from therapy.
While therapy often focuses on unpacking the past, IRC works with what’s alive in you now. We anchor in present-moment awareness and help you move forward with practical tools, embodied practices, and renewed self-trust.
Beyond voice lessons.
Voice lessons might focus on pitch, projection, or breath control. In Resonance Coaching goes deeper — exploring your voice as an expression of truth, identity, and presence. The somatic experiencing element allows us to address resistance in the body through a gentle, trauma-informed approach. This body-based work supports nervous system regulation and connects you to the felt expression of your internal world — a level of depth that traditional singing lessons rarely reach. Every session is personalized, responsive, and grounded in what you need most in the moment. While we’ll work toward your bigger goals, the process is flexible enough to meet whatever is arising for you that day.
We start with your goals.
In our first session, we clarify your intentions and build rapport. From there, we might review reflections or practices from previous sessions (if you’re someone who likes homework) or address a pressing situation that’s on your mind.
We work with what’s alive now.
If your focus is vocal development, we may move through a progression of somatic and vocal practices. If you’re working on boundaries, we’ll explore frameworks and put them into real-life contexts. And if something unexpected comes up — a challenge in a relationship, a moment of doubt, a surprising event — we’ll use that as a powerful opportunity for learning and integration.
Progress looks different for everyone — it depends on your goals, commitment, and starting point.
• Clients with clear, measurable goals (e.g., preparing for a press tour, improving communication with a colleague) often notice tangible shifts within 1–2 sessions, and significant progress within 4–5.
• Clients with broader or evolving goals tend to continue beyond the initial phase to integrate growth more fully into their personal and professional lives.
Consistency matters.
Showing up regularly, practicing between sessions, and coming prepared greatly influences how quickly and deeply change happens.
A good fit is essential.
The relationship between coach and client is a key factor in success. That’s why I offer a free consultation — so we can both sense if the connection feels right. If I believe another coach, therapist, or modality would serve you better, I’ll let you know and point you toward helpful resources.
If we meet online: You’ll need access to Zoom and ideally a private, quiet space where you can speak freely without distractions.
Before your first session: New clients receive an intake form and coaching agreement to review and complete in advance. This helps us clarify your goals and make the most of our time together.
It depends on the condition and context.
I have consistently found this work to be a valuable adjunct process for various conditions. Many of my clients have navigated health issues (e.g., thyroid concerns, fertility challenges) or mental health challenges (e.g., social anxiety), using our sessions to complement more primary supports such as medical care or psychotherapy.
